I grew up in the North West of Ireland in a family tourism business at Rosses Point Holiday Park, where we rented mobile homes and sent plenty of happy holiday makers off on adventures with touring caravans bound for France. You could say travel has been part of my life from the very beginning.
Over the years I’ve worn a few different hats, including a stint as a bar manager, but I always seem to find my way back to tourism, which is where my real passion lies. These days I work as a Driver/ Guide across Ireland and as a Tour Manager in the UK and Europe and I still genuinely enjoy sharing the places, stories and little local details that most visitors might otherwise miss.
When I’m off the clock, you’ll usually find me outdoors. I love sea and lake swimming along with cycling, hiking, running and kayaking.I’ve even been known to take on the occasional triathlon, though I promise I don’t expect my guests to keep up with that pace.
What I enjoy most about guiding is meeting people from all over the world and helping them experience Ireland not just as visitors but as locals, with great scenery, good stories and plenty of laughs along the way.
