Although our Adventure Tours are mainly focused on Adventure, we have noticed that adventure activities create a healthy appetite. On our last Irish adventure tour we had the opportunity to stop at all our favorite restaurants and let our guests enjoy the best restaurants Ireland has to offer. Every guest left a review which we have listed down below for each restaurant visited.
Westport – Adventure Capital of Ireland
Westport is the Adventure Tours capital of Ireland and fits right in with our guided adventure tour, but also home to the multi award winning restaurant An Port Mor. The chef, Frank Mallon`s style of cooking is rustic meets quirky. He loves big, gutsy flavours and his forte is seafood.

Excellent from start to finish we were met by a French waiter who was very friendly and welcoming. He recommended certain dishes and had a good knowledge of the menu. The food itself was excellent fine dining at its best. There was a lovely atmosphere and since we climbed Croagh Patrick on this day the food never tasted better.
We continued our guided adventure tour and pulled over just outside Westport in the Shebeen. Standing gracefully in monumental fashion, with its old-world thatched roof, it creates an idyllic and romantic rendezvous that provides a continental-style haven of enchantment. Since the restaurant is situated right on Clew bay, seafood dominates the menu.

Charming restaurant in a beautiful setting on the bay. Lobster & mussels were fresh and delicious and very fresh. Our waitress was so helpful, even moved our tables so we could have a view out the window-now that’s service. We loved this spot and will go back.
Our small group tour of Ireland headed next by yacht to the the largest Aran Island – Inis Mór. After cycling around the island and visiting Dun Aengus we returned to the yacht to freshen up and get ready for our next food destination, The Pier House restaurant. The food is best described as contemporary modern Irish cuisine. As a Féile Bia member, all meat are sourced from quality local producers. Most fish is locally caught for optimum freshness and flavour.

Ventured into the restaurant both tired and hungry after a long day exploring the marvellous island, to my delight the service was exceptional very fast and efficient, the food was superb, tasty, delectable, and hearty with a homemade feel (complements to the chief/chiefs).
An Activity holiday in Ireland cannot be complete without visiting Dingle and one of our favourite restaurants is The Global Village. Ranked as the best emerging Irish cuisine in 2014 and best restaurant in Kerry in 2013, by the Restaurant Association of Ireland. This Michelin recommended restaurant can be found in the heart of Dingle.
The restaurant board displays the local provenance; fresh fish and seafood from inshore local fisherman, fresh meat from farmers who operate a sustainable farming policy and the seasonal vegetables grown in the Global Village chemical free vegetable garden run using bio-dynamic principles. The extensive wine list is complimented by a range of craft beers.

A really special place. Great staff, very welcoming ambiance. The wine was great (Sovinion Blanc). I had the most amazing starter. A trio of crab. Mouth-watering now just thinking about it, lemon sole main, again flawless. Profiteroles for dessert. So much detail in every element of all dishes very memorable and special. Early bird menu very extensive and great value can’t wait to go back!!
