The Overland Ireland buses are 16 seaters. The groups don’t exceed 14 people. Each tour varies from 5 to 10-day tours.

As a driver guide with Overland Ireland, you will be expected to be the driver as well as the tour guide. This is not just a driving role.

As the driver you will be expected to do your checks every morning before taking your bus on the road. Every evening you will be responsible for re-fueling, cleaning and washing the bus. At the end of every tour you will be required to return the bus refueled, clean and washed, as you found it.

As the guide, you will be expected to greet all passengers at our pick-up point in Dublin. You will be responsible for ensuring the tour runs smoothly every day i.e. : confirming pre-booked accommodation, punctual arrival at pre-booked activities, advising guests on pubs and restaurants each evening, booking restaurants for groups. You will also have a microphone on board your bus and you will have to talk to the guests about the history of Ireland, Irish sports, Irish music, Irish folklore and all the areas you pass through on the tour.

applicants must have the following requirements

Full D1 license by the start of the 2019 season*

Valid CPC license

Digital tachograph

* If you do not have your D1 license/CPC/Tacograph yet, but you are interested in the role of driver guide, don’t worry. You have enough time to get your licence and documentation for the 2019 season.
