Leaving Dublin behind, we journey north to Belfast, Northern Ireland’s dynamic and culturally rich capital. Our first stop is the world-famous Titanic Belfast, an award-winning interactive museum built on the very slipways where the legendary ship was designed and launched. Wander through nine immersive galleries that bring the story of the “Ship of Dreams” to life, from her creation to her tragic end.

We begin at the world-famous Giant’s Causeway, one of the most iconic experiences on our small-group Ireland tours. Then, we make our way into the majestic Hills of Donegal, a land of wild landscapes, remote beauty, and warm, witty locals. Today we journey from the wild beauty of Donegal into the heart of Ireland’s northwest for one of the most iconic experiences of the entire tour: the Stairway to Heaven. The Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail is a stunning wooden walkway that rises through untouched upland landscapes, offering sweeping views that make every step worthwhile. Today, we leave Ballina and journey deep into the wild beauty of County Mayo, a land of dramatic cliffs, ancient history, and captivating folklore. Our first stop is the fascinating Céide Fields, the world’s oldest known field system and one of the most significant Neolithic discoveries in Europe. Here, you will step back over 5,000 years as you learn how Ireland’s earliest farmers lived, worked and thrived along the Wild Atlantic Way.
Next, we make the short drive to Downpatrick Head, one of the most breathtaking coastal viewpoints in the entire country. Take a leisurely stroll to the cliffs and marvel at Dún Briste, the iconic sea stack that rises dramatically from the Atlantic. Legend tells that it was separated from the mainland by St. Patrick himself, a story as striking as the views!

Today we leave Westport and journey through one of the most dramatic landscapes in Ireland. Our first stop is the Doolough Famine Memorial, a sombre and striking reminder of Ireland’s past, set against the hauntingly beautiful backdrop of the Doolough Valley. From here, we continue along the winding coastal road that skirts Killary Harbour, Ireland’s only fjord.
Late morning, we arrive at Killary Sheepdogs for an unforgettable demonstration. Watch in awe as highly skilled sheepdogs respond to whistle commands, guiding and herding sheep with incredible precision. It is a fascinating insight into traditional farming life in the west of Ireland.
Next, we make our way to the iconic Kylemore Abbey & Victorian Walled Gardens, one of the most beloved stops on the Wild Atlantic Way. After some free time in Galway this morning, we travel south to the village of Doolin, where we board the ferry across the sparkling waters of Galway Bay towards Inis Oírr, the smallest of the Aran Islands and one of Ireland’s most charming hidden gems.
Stepping onto the island feels like going back in time. Quiet boreens lined with dry-stone walls lead to ancient ruins, shipwreck stories, windswept shorelines, and one of the most beautiful white-sand beaches in the west. Explore the island by bicycle, enjoy lunch at a local café, and soak up the warm hospitality of the islanders. You may even pick up a few words of Gaeilge along the way.
In the afternoon, we return by boat, cruising beneath the majestic Cliffs of Moher, offering a dramatic ocean-view perspective of this world-famous landmark. From here, we continue by road to the relaxed surf town of Lahinch, known for its beachside charm, lively pubs, and friendly local atmosphere. Before we continue south, we begin the day at one of Ireland’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders: the Cliffs of Moher. Rising 214 metres above the Atlantic Ocean, these towering cliffs offer some of the most iconic views on the Wild Atlantic Way. The best way to experience them is on a guided coastal hike, where your local expert will lead you along breathtaking cliff paths as the waves crash far below.
Afterwards, we travel to Killimer and cross the River Shannon by ferry, leaving County Clare behind as we enter the magical Kingdom of Kerry. This is a land of rugged mountains, sparkling bays, and famously warm welcomes.
The journey continues over the dramatic Conor Pass, one of the highest and most scenic mountain roads in Ireland, offering spectacular views across mountains, lakes, and the ocean. From here, we descend into the colourful harbour town of Dingle. Today, we leave Dingle behind and travel east towards the breathtaking landscapes of Killarney National Park, Ireland’s first national park and one of its most treasured natural wonders. On arrival, hop on a bike for a relaxed two-hour cycle through the park’s peaceful woodland trails. Pedal past shimmering lakes, ancient oak forests and some of Killarney’s most iconic landmarks, including Muckross House and Gardens, the ruins of Muckross Abbey, and sweeping mountain views of the Killarney Valley.
