Day 1From Dublin To Tipperary To Cork To Kinsale

Total driving time: 3 hours 30 minutes, excluding stops

Leave the bright lights of our capital behind and get ready to experience the REAL Ireland on this exclusive tour running solely for your group. The first stop on our 10-day private tour of Ireland brings us to the Rock of Cashel in Tipperary. Here, you will visit the medieval round tower, chapel, cathedral, and castle steeped in 1,000 years of history. The beauty of your first castle experience of the day will blow you away!

We continue our route south in your group’s private transportation to County Cork and the legendary Blarney Castle. Our visit begins with the obligatory kiss of the Blarney Stone. According to legend, this will bestow you with the “gift of the gab”. Your group will have time to explore Blarney Castle and its beautiful gardens before enjoying a delicious local lunch.

The first day of this Ireland private tour ends with a night in West Cork’s stunning harbor town of Kinsale, renowned for its castles, forts, galleries, shops, arts and crafts, dramatic scenery, and award-winning restaurants. Seafood lovers will be spoilt for choice! While you’re here, our local friend Barry will show you around the town on a private walking tour reserved especially for your group.

Day 2From Kinsale To Kenmare To Killarney National Park To Dingle

Total Driving time: 3 hours 30 minutes, excluding stops

We head out of Kinsale in your group’s private transport and head towards the famed Ring of Kerry. Please note, we don’t complete the full Ring of Kerry on this private experience; please see our Ireland to Island Private Tour for the entire journey. We make our first stop at the beautiful heritage town of Kenmare, known as the ‘Little Nest’ of the Wild Atlantic Way and a highlight of the Ring of Kerry.

Your group’s exclusive journey continues to Killarney National Park, where we stop at stunning overlooks like Molls’ Gap and Ladies’ View before enjoying a tour of Ross Castle. Here, a guide dedicated to your group will bring the stories behind its stone walls to life!

The day ends in the celebrated, cozy coastal town of Dingle. The evening is yours to experience the atmosphere in Dingle’s quirky pubs and fantastic restaurants, and to stumble across unforgettable traditional music sessions.

Day 3From Dingle To Slea Head

Total driving time: 2 hours, excluding stops

Enjoy a special start to the morning as your group takes to the water on a private kayaking adventure! We’ll paddle around Dingle Bay to explore the sea caves and soak up the views. This private Ireland tour is flexible, so if kayaking is not your thing, you can enjoy a guided walk up to Eask Tower. At the top, you will be rewarded with scenes of the wild Atlantic Ocean on either side of the Dingle Peninsula. Or perhaps some retail therapy is in order? You can also choose to take some time out and visit the local shops. This is your holiday and your private tour, so you can explore on your own terms.

Next, your group’s dedicated expert guide will take you on a breathtaking trip along the Slea Head Drive — expect amazing scenery, beehive huts, and beautiful harbors for those Instagram-worthy photos.

Spend a second entertaining evening in Dingle and find more hotspots for food and fun. This means you don’t have to re-pack your bags tonight. Just relax and enjoy!

Day 4From Dingle To County Clare

Total driving time: 3 hours 30 minutes, excluding stops

Your 10-day private trip to Ireland continues as we leave Dingle and travel north in style and comfort, taking in spectacular views of The Connor Pass and Castlegregory along the way. Prepare to be awestruck by one of the most popular experiences on this private tour — a traditional sheepdog demonstration! The skill of the farmer and his furry friend always leaves our guests astounded.

Next, we take the short ferry ride to County Clare, home to the otherworldly Burren National Park and the world-famous Cliffs of Moher. Your dedicated private guide will take you off the beaten track and point out secret passages that you won’t find on the typical tourist route.

Tonight, we spend the evening indulging in some good ol’ Irish music and craic! You will stay overnight in either Doolin, with its colorful houses and buckets of charm, or Spanish Point, a spectacular coastal location. Like every night on this private tour of Ireland, the accommodation in both locations is carefully handpicked by the Overland team.

Day 5 From County Clare To Galway

Total driving time: 2 hours, excluding stops

Wake up feeling fresh and continue your private tour of Ireland along the Wild Atlantic Way. In the morning, your group will sail across Galway Bay to Inis Orr, the smallest and most remote of the Aran Islands, where time seems to stand still. You’ll get to explore beautiful white-sand beaches, ancient ruins, and charming villages.

We then return to the mainland and head to the Burren National Park, a landscape unlike any other, with its limestone pavements, rare wildflowers, and fascinating history. Your group then heads north in its private transport and ends the day in Bohemian Galway. Immerse yourself in the city’s lively atmosphere and revel in its abundance of live music, mesmerizing art, and delicious food!

Day 6From Galway To Westport

Total driving time: 1 hour 45 minutes, excluding stops

Your group has the freedom to explore Galway City at its own pace in the morning, uncovering hidden gems and exploring the many shops on offer. Then it’s time to indulge your taste buds on a delicious walkin’, talkin’, tastin’ tour of Galway. Led by an expert local guide dedicated to your group, this is the perfect way to savor local delicacies and learn about Galway’s culinary heritage.

Return to your group’s comfortable private transport and venture into the rugged beauty of Connemara, with its dramatic mountains, sparkling lakes, and charming villages. We arrive in Westport, a picturesque town nestled on Clew Bay, where you can explore historic sites and enjoy breathtaking coastal views.

Day 7Westport To The Hills Of Donegal

Total driving time: 2 hours 30 minutes, excluding stops

Start the day with some free time to explore the charming town of Westport, home to a vibrant quay and the historic Westport House. Then, hit the road again in your group’s private transport, venturing north to County Sligo and its dramatic landscapes. A land of myths and legends, you’ll stand in awe of Benbulben, a flat-topped mountain steeped in folklore and said to be the resting place of the mythical warriors Diarmuid and Gráinne.

Conclude your day at the breathtaking Lough Eske Castle. Here, your group will live like royalty during a luxurious overnight stay! This historic landmark has been lovingly restored to its former glory and is surrounded by tranquil waters and ancient woodlands. The stay at Lough Eske Castle is an unforgettable experience and a true highlight of this private Ireland tour.

Day 8Donegal To Derry

Total driving time: 3 hours, excluding stops

Now it’s time for your private group to explore Ireland’s beautiful North West: the hills of Donegal. We continue our 10-day private tour of Ireland and embark on a jaw-dropping drive over the Glengesh Pass. Discover remote stunning beaches, hidden caves, and amazing views around every bend.

Continue your exploration of the gorgeous Donegal hills at the newly established Ardara Distillery. Learn about the tradition of whiskey and even enjoy a taste of what Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw described as “liquid sunshine”.

Our next stop is Derry, Northern Ireland’s second-largest city, which is steeped in rich Irish history. Take a walking tour of the city and learn about The Troubles, which lasted for nearly 30 years, from your private guide. We then spend the night in our tried-and-loved Derry accommodation. The city has many amazing restaurants on offer, but the hard part is choosing only one.

Day 9Derry to Belfast

Total driving time: 3 hours, excluding stops

The penultimate day of your private Ireland tour takes in some of Northern Ireland’s most famous attractions. First, we make our way to the Giant’s Causeway, one of the most anticipated experiences on this Ireland private tour package — and it never disappoints. But the entire Causeway Coastal Route is breathtaking, to say the least. Riding in your private transportation will be a true pleasure as you stare longingly out of the window.

If you have a head for heights and a sense of adventure, cross the Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge and feel the exhilaration of air and the ocean beneath your feet. The opening of the bridge is weather-dependent, but we can enjoy the spectacular views of Dunluce Castle sitting atop a dramatic cliff edge on the Antrim Coast if it’s closed.

This evening, you’ll arrive in the vibrant city of Belfast, Northern Ireland’s capital, where history and culture come alive! Take a leisurely stroll through the Cathedral Quarter, known for its stunning street art, cozy pubs, and tasty dining options.

Day 10Belfast To Newgrange To Dublin

Total driving time: 2 hours 30 minutes, excluding stops

On the final morning, get ready for the full Titanic experience at Titanic Belfast. Prepare to be moved by the wonderful stories told about the world’s most famous ship at this interactive museum. Then it’s back to your group’s private transport so we can head to our last stop. We visit the site of The Battle of The Boyne, where you can learn about the history of one of the most pivotal battles in Ireland.

All good things must come to an end! We will say our fond farewells in Dublin City. If you have some time left in Ireland and would like to explore Dublin, your expert guide will arm you with great recommendations for things to see and do in the capital.
