Your journey begins as we leave Dublin behind and travel south through Ireland’s rolling countryside towards County Cork, a region renowned for its rich history, exceptional food and warm hospitality.
Our first stop is the magnificent Cahir Castle, one of Ireland’s largest and best-preserved medieval fortresses, offering a fascinating glimpse into the country’s medieval past.
We then continue to Cork, Ireland’s culinary capital, for one of the highlights of your tour, a guided foodie experience through the famous English Market. Dating back to 1788, this iconic market is home to passionate artisan producers and some of Ireland’s finest local ingredients. Later this afternoon we arrive in the picturesque harbour town of Kinsale, renowned for its colourful streets, boutique shops, galleries and award-winning restaurants. After breakfast, we begin one of Ireland’s most scenic journeys as we make our way west towards the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way.
Our first stop is the charming heritage town of Kenmare where you will have time to wander its colourful streets lined with artisan craft shops, cosy cafés and independent boutiques. Just a short stroll from the town centre lies the ancient Kenmare Stone Circle, one of Ireland’s largest Bronze Age stone circles, offering a fascinating glimpse into the country’s rich history.
From here, we travel one of Ireland’s most iconic mountain roads, stopping at Moll’s Gap and Ladies View for breathtaking panoramic views across the lakes and mountains of Killarney National Park.
This afternoon, experience the park from a different perspective with an optional cycle through one of Ireland’s most beautiful national parks, passing ancient woodland, sparkling lakes and historic landmarks. Today we bid farewell to the beautiful Dingle Peninsula and continue north along the spectacular Wild Atlantic Way towards the dramatic coastline of County Clare.
Our morning begins with a hands-on experience at the renowned Dingle Cookery School, where you will discover the art of baking traditional Irish brown bread using time honoured recipes and techniques. Fresh from the oven, you will enjoy the delicious results while learning about a tradition that has been at the heart of Irish homes for generations.
We then cross the River Shannon aboard the Tarbert Ferry, taking in beautiful coastal views as we journey into County Clare.
This afternoon, experience the Cliffs of Moher from a whole new perspective on a spectacular guided coastal hike led by a passionate local expert. Venture beyond the busiest viewpoints to discover breathtaking cliff top trails, hidden vantage points and fascinating stories of the landscape, geology, wildlife and local history. Towering over 700 feet above the crashing Atlantic Ocean, this unforgettable walk offers a truly immersive way to experience one of Ireland’s most iconic natural wonders.
Later, we arrive at the award-winning Armada Hotel, beautifully positioned overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
