Sea-Kayaking in Ireland

There are many awesome places to rent kayaks along the Wild Atlantic Way but we are confident that we have chosen the best spot to bring our guests – Dingle Bay, Co. Kerry. The bay has so much to offer, from sea caves and calm waters to stunning views of the town and, of course, time spent up close with a local celebrity – Fungie the dolphin. It’s one of the highlights of our small group tours to Ireland.
You will spend half a day in a colorful kayak exploring Dingle Bay in search of hidden caves and Ireland’s most famous mammal. You will have the pleasure of touring the bay with Noel and his passionate team from Irish Adventures.
Guests can choose to team up in a double open-top kayak or go solo. The activity is three hours long and accessible to everyone on one of our small group tours to Ireland! The team will give you the basic kayaking skills to navigate your way around with the group.
From the moment you push off from the slipway you will delight in the fresh sea air, get a great workout and if you’re feeling brave take a plunge into the cool Atlantic.
The instructors are tirelessly energetic and motivating. They are fully trained and helpful (if you get tired or maybe a little lazy) if you are in need of a tow! Noel has amazed our guests hundreds of times by sharing local knowledge, pointing out places of interest around the bay and headland and taking us into the hidden caves beyond the mouth of the bay.
The highlight is, of course, catching a glimpse of Fungie jumping and playing in the wake of the boats coming in and out of the harbor. You can also see him on a boat trip but nothing compares to the feeling of being at his level and see him spring out of the water beside you.
All of the instructors are snap-happy with their waterproof cameras. Small group tours Ireland sends you off with a memory stick capturing your journey around Dingle Bay. After all your hard work on the water you can reward yourself in one of the many fantastic restaurants in Dingle town or maybe even just pop into Murphy’s ice-cream for a little treat.
