For the ultimate adrenaline rush on your Overland Ireland tour, we have teamed up with Elements Kite Surfing. Elements Kitesurfing is Galway’s original and best kitesurfing school with over a decade experience teaching, inspiring and motivating Ireland’s kitesurfing community. They have recently opened their doors to us and have welcomed our Ireland small group tours on some of their courses.
This is an optional activity on your Ireland tour. It is tide and weather dependent but extremely well suited for our Ireland small group tours. Our guests rave about this activity and most custom tours have opted to give it a go. We are delighted to be able to offer kitesurfing when travelling through Galway and Mayo.
Elements Kitesurfing can teach the sport in French, German, Dutch, English and if you have been doing your homework – Gaelic! The school will provide everything you need from kites to boards and wetsuits. All you should bring is your swimming togs and a real sense of adventure. Guests must be comfortable in the ocean and be able to swim 25m. Safety is of paramount importance to their instructors and during our Ireland small group tours.
Kitesurfing is becoming the world’s fastest growing sport and we at Overland Ireland are addicted. So much so that we have organized custom kitesurfing only holidays along the west coast of Ireland. We are truly blessed to have consistent wind, mild weather and spectacular backdrops to enjoy the sport. Some of our favorite spots along the Wild Atlantic Way include, Galway Bay, Lahinch, Belmullet, Carrownisky and Fanore. We are spoiled for choice.
Elements Kitesurfing have various courses from basic tuition to advanced coaching and mentoring classes. All instructors have qualifications recognized by the International Kitesurfing Association. Guests can log hours with Elements and continue their kitesurfing career anywhere in the world. Most travelers choose our taster session which will see you master the control of your kite, body drag through the ocean and even try a board under your feet.
Please express your interest before you start your Ireland small group tour as we sometimes need to adjust your itinerary to suit the wind and tides.
