Apply to be an Overland Ireland tour guide! We are looking for passionate and energetic local guides for our season. We promise excellent rates for all our guides. You must hold a D or D1 license.

Job Description:

Driver Tour Guide for scheduled and private small group tours with Overland Ireland Tours. Tours vary in length from 5-10 day tours. Each tour is taken at a different pace. We offer Active and Relaxed tours to our customers. Every tour has unique experiences and activities to entertain and delight our guests. We aim to create a tour of a lifetime to the Emerald Isle and our guides play the leading role in making this happen.

We mostly have North American travellers on board. These guests are fantastic and generally offer great tips at the end of their tour.

Job Duties:

  • Delivering an unforgettable tour experience of Ireland.
  • Looking after guest’s daily needs.
  • Imparting local knowledge at each location.
  • Liaising with the Overland HQ daily with tour updates and general satisfaction.
  • Time management of each tour.
  • Preparing and maintaining high standard of vehicle throughout the tour.
  • Flexibility to adjust itineraries on the fly if required.

Professional Requirements:

  • Experience working in the tourism industry.
  • A great knowledge of Irish history, culture, geography and traditions.
  • A warm energetic personality.
  • Must have a D of D1 driver’s license before the start of the season in March.
  • A national tourism qualification is an advantage but not a requirement.

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 8 months

Pay: €175.00-€250.00 per day

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus
  • Tips
